Morocco announces the vaccination of more than 21 million people with the first dose of Corona and 18 million in the second


The Moroccan Ministry of Health stated that the total number of Moroccans, who received the first dose of the vaccine against the emerging corona virus, reached 21 million, 873 thousand and 313 people to date, after 133 thousand and 966 people received the first dose, during the past 24 hours.

 

And the ministry stated - in a statement, today - that 172,075 people received the second dose of the vaccine during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recipients of the second dose of the vaccine against the virus to 18,300,124 people.

 

It is noteworthy that Morocco has received more than 48 million doses of various vaccines against the virus.

 

And the Moroccan Ministry of Health recorded 1,620 new confirmed infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus to 927,127 cases.

 

A statement by the Moroccan Ministry of Health stated that the total of analyzes that took place, after 19,129 tests were conducted, amounted to 8,680,698 analyzes, since the beginning of the virus' spread on March 2 of last year.

 

The statement added that 26 deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 14,102 injuries, and 2,162 additional cases of recovery were recorded, bringing the total recovery to 895,434 cases.

A new shipment of the American "Pfizer" vaccine against the emerging corona virus arrived at Morocco's Mohammed V Airport on Saturday, and the Mohammed V Airport authorities reported that the shipment included 680,000 doses coming from Brussels on a plane belonging to the shipping company.


Morocco is currently using the “Pfizer” vaccine in the student vaccination campaign that was launched a few weeks ago, and the Moroccan Health announced that more than 20 million and 990,000 people received the first dose, and the number of those vaccinated with the second dose reached more than 17 million and 410 thousand people.
