Moroccan reports: 8 African referees in the 2022 World Cup, not including an Egyptian referee

Moroccan press reports revealed today, Tuesday, that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has chosen 8 African referees to compete in the World Cup finals in Qatar in 2022.

The Moroccan newspaper confirmed that the eight referees are Gambian Bakari Gassama, Ethiopian Bamlak Tesema, South African Victor Gomez, Moroccan Radwan Gaid, Algerian Mustapha Ghorbal, Zambian Gani Sikazoi, Senegalese Majeti Ndaye, and Congolese Jack Ndala.

The list included the presence of the Moroccan international referee, Radwan Gaid, who is considered one of the best African rulers.

There are 8 rulers in the same list, two of them from North Africa, and the others from the West, and they are.

The list was empty of Egyptians, as the list did not include an Egyptian referee, after Jihad Greisha was a representative of the Egyptian arbitration in the 2014 World Cup.

The international Essam Abdel Fattah, the current head of the referees committee, also represented Egypt in the 2006 World Cup, and was preceded by Gamal Al-Ghandour in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups.

Al-Ghandour represented the return of Egyptian arbitration on the international scene, after an absence that began since the 1978 session, in which Mahmoud Mustafa Kamel ruled a single match, after Ali Kandil, who was a referee in the 1966 and 1970 sessions>
