It amounted to 4.0% of the total for the year 2019/2020.
A number of 85 thousand units were implemented by the sector (government - public / general business) in 2019/2020, at a rate of 43.7% of the general total, compared to 100.5 thousand units in 2018/2019, with a decrease of 15.5%.

The total number of implemented housing units in the social housing project (one million units) reached 375.2 thousand units, including 51.2 thousand units in 2019/2020, of which 1.4 thousand units were implemented by the Central Agency for Reconstruction, or 2.6%, with investments of 150.4 million pounds, with a rate of 11.8% of housing directorates 6 thousand units. With investments of 3 billion pounds, the New Urban Communities Authority has 43.8 thousand units, or 85.6%, with investments of 19.1 billion pounds.
The number of implemented units in the Dar Misr housing project (medium housing) reached 43,000 units in the new cities, of which 14.6 thousand units were executed in 2019/2020. Unit 3.3% of the total.

The number of implemented units in the Jannat Misr project (luxury housing) reached 5904 units in the new cities, 5544 of which were executed in 2019/2020. The total number of units implemented under the supervision of the New Urban Communities Authority in the new cities amounted to 178 units in the new administrative capital with investments of 11 billion pounds, and the new city of Mansoura is under implementation of units with investments of 1.2 billion pounds, and new Alamein units are being implemented with investments of 10 billion pounds in 2019/2020.
